The course approval form must be completed and signed by a home high school official (usually the academic counselor) and parent/guardian prior to enrollment of summer courses.
What is the Method of Instruction?
Clovis Online School uses the Edgenuity educational platform which combines animations, simulations, video-casts, relevant Internet sites, and myriad other activities that support the lesson topic. Students will have a wealth of information 24/7 at their fingertips that can be reviewed as many times as necessary to achieve mastery. Clovis Online School summer school teachers will support the individual needs of each student during the process to help them complete each assigned course with the goal of reaching a high level of success. During the summer session teachers will be on site twice per week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8am-2pm for any face-to-face needs and appointments. Students can expect to work an average of 15 hours per week for each course during the 7-week session. Target dates will be set for each course so that work is paced to be completed by the end of the summer session. Students can work ahead of the assigned pace and can complete work early if they choose.
